One of the best ways to discover Orihuela Costa is simply to walk along the sea.

The coastline is made up of beaches, small coves, rocky sections, promenades and beautiful sea views, with plenty of places to stop along the way.

From Beach to Beach

You can start in Punta Prima and walk south towards Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig and Campoamor.

You don’t have to walk the whole coast. Choose a shorter section, take your time and enjoy the places you pass along the way.

Some sections are easy promenades, while others are more uneven and include steps, so comfortable shoes are a good idea.

Take Your Time

The best thing about a coastal walk is that there is no need to rush.

Stop for a coffee, sit by the sea, explore a small cove or take a break at one of the beach bars.

You can make it a morning walk, an afternoon stroll or simply spend an hour by the water before heading back.

A Different Way to See Orihuela Costa

Walking gives you a different perspective of the area.

You see how the beaches connect, discover small corners you might otherwise miss and get a real feel for the coastline.

And with around 16 kilometres of coastline, there is always another stretch to explore.

Stop at a Chiringuito

Along the coast, you’ll find several Chiringuitos at different beaches in Orihuela Costa.

They are a great place to stop during your walk, enjoy something to eat or drink, sit by the sea and, depending on the day, listen to live music.
